Turban Bank Group initiates unique message of unity in Nagar Kirtan

Jamshedpur: The Turban Bank Group, a renowned Dastar (turban) training institute in Iron City, is set to embark on a distinctive initiative to promote the significance of the Sikh Turban (Taj Dastar) during the Nagar Kirtan on November 27. Group Director Raj Kamaljit Singh announced on Saturday that their institute’s group will actively participate in the procession during Prakash Parv, with a special focus on young children. The children will convey the message of unity by adorning their Dastars with ‘Ek Omkar.’

Raj Kamaljit Singh and Sandeep Singh of the Turban Bank Group shared that they sought permission from Central Gurdwara Management Committee (CGPC) chief Sardar Bhagwan Singh to participate in Nagar Kirtan. Singh not only granted permission but also encouraged them to do something during the city kirtan on Prakash Parv that would inspire young children. In response to this positive suggestion, the group decided that by inscribing ‘Ek Omkar’ on the Dastars of the little ones, they would convey the message of the oneness of God to the sangat (congregation).

Both organizers welcome any Sikh interested in joining the Nagar Kirtan with their group, getting ‘Ek Omkar’ written on their Dastar, or learning how to tie a turban. They can be contacted at mobile numbers 9835170841 and 7004849405.
