Andhra Pradesh footballers experience pro training in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, June 26: The 80-member football contingent from the Sports Authority of Andhra Pradesh (SAAP) is making the most of its ongoing exposure visit to Jamshedpur, embracing a packed schedule of training, competition and recovery under the guidance of Tata Steel and Jamshedpur FC.

Comprising 40 boys and 40 girls from the U-15 and U-21 age groups, the young footballers have settled into life at the Jamshedpur , where every day offers a glimpse into the demands of a professional football environment.

The players begin their mornings with structured training sessions before competing in daily practice matches that allow them to put their learnings into action. Away from the pitch, they are also experiencing the importance of athlete management through supervised gym sessions, swimming-based recovery, mobility work and regeneration activities.

The exposure programme has been designed to introduce the players to the holistic approach followed in elite football, where performance extends beyond technical and tactical training. Nutrition, recovery, physical conditioning and disciplined daily routines have all formed an integral part of the experience.

The young footballers have also had the opportunity to interact with coaches and support staff, explore world-class sporting infrastructure, and experience the professional ecosystem that has helped produce generations of talented athletes in Jamshedpur. The team will leave Jamshedpur on Saturday after the completion of a week-long programme.

The visit, organised by Tata Steel in coordination with Jamshedpur FC, continues to provide the SAAP players with invaluable exposure as they prepare for the next stage of their footballing journeys. Beyond the intensive training programme, the players have enjoyed every aspect of their stay in Jamshedpur, creating memories while learning what it takes to perform at the highest level.
