NEET re-test conducted smoothly, students divided on difficulty level
Shambhavi Tewari Finds NEET Paper Challenging
Biology Easy, Chemistry Tough in NEET Re-Exam
Jamshedpur, June 21: The NEET UG re-examination was conducted peacefully across Jamshedpur on Sunday amid strict security arrangements and close monitoring by the district administration. Around 4,000 candidates appeared for the medical entrance examination at eight centres set up across the district.
Students emerging from examination centres, including Cooperative College, shared mixed reactions regarding the difficulty level of the paper. Most candidates agreed that the Biology section was comparatively easy, while Chemistry was the toughest among the three subjects. Physics was described as moderate in difficulty. Several students said the questions were lengthy and time-consuming, making it difficult to attempt all questions within the allotted time.

Shambhavi Tewari, the ISC Class XII national topper who appeared for the examination, said the paper did not go as well as she had expected. “Biology was easy, Chemistry was tough and Physics was moderate. The questions were lengthy, and because of the time constraint, I had to leave several questions unanswered,” she said.
When asked about the possibility of the examination being cancelled again, Shambhavi said such a situation would be disappointing. “It would be very sad because it concerns our future,” she remarked.

Another candidate, Sona Afreen, a physiotherapist from Daya Hospital in Mango, also felt that Biology was easy while Chemistry was difficult and Physics was of moderate level. She said students were trying not to worry despite the uncertainties surrounding the examination process. “It is a matter of our future, so we can only stay focused and hopeful,” she said.

Although concerns related to paper leaks and examination integrity continued to linger in the minds of many students, candidates appeared satisfied with the arrangements made at the examination centres. They appreciated the orderly conduct of the examination and the security measures put in place.

To ensure a fair and transparent examination, the district administration implemented extensive security arrangements. Candidates underwent thorough screening before entering the centres, while CCTV cameras were installed at all examination venues. Special surveillance teams and patrol units remained active around the centres to monitor any suspicious activity. Hotels and lodges were also kept under observation as part of the security plan.
Officials said all necessary steps had been taken to ensure the examination was conducted peacefully, transparently and without any irregularities.
