DBMS College holds camp on healthy ageing and wellness

Jamshedpur, June 20: D.B.M.S. College of Education, Kadma, organized a two-day “Yoga for Healthy Ageing” camp under the joint aegis of the National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit-I and the Sports Cell. The programme aimed to promote physical and mental well-being among students, faculty members and staff.

The first day’s activities were held at Biodiversity Park, Kadma, and witnessed enthusiastic participation from Principal Dr. Joohi Samarpita, Vice Principal Dr. Monica Uppal, Secretary Sripriya Dharmarajan, Joint Secretary Sudha Dilip, faculty members, non-teaching staff and B.Ed. students.

Yoga instructor Janhavi Goswami conducted the session, guiding participants through various yoga postures and pranayama techniques. She highlighted the benefits of regular practice for maintaining good health and an active lifestyle.

After the session, participants explored the Biodiversity Park and learned about its rich variety of trees, plants, birds and butterflies. A nature walk was also organized to raise awareness about biodiversity and environmental conservation.
