Jharkhand CM nod for ACB interrogation of DA case accused 

Ranchi, September 28: Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren has adopted zero tolerance against corruption and directed Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) to interrogate the accused officer in disproportionate assets case

Chief Minister gave a nod for registration of FIR against the accused in disproportionate assets case, Anil Kumar Singh, then Circle Officer, Hehal, Ranchi as per the provision mentioned in Sec 17A (1)(b) of the Prevention of Corruption (Amendment) Act, 2018.

Permission has been given to Anti Corruption Bureau, Ranchi to conduct research. Earlier, in June 2022, the Chief Minister had given approval to register an FIR against Anil Kumar Singh in the case of disproportionate assets.

Significantly, evidence has been found against the accused Anil Kumar Singh regarding earning 28 percent more pro-rata earnings. Anil Kumar Singh’s total income from all sources was found to be Rs 67,35,501 and total expenditure of Rs 86,65, 513.02 in the prescribed check period. The proportionate earning of Rs.19,30,012.02 has been earned by the accused in comparison to the total income, which is 28 percent more than his income.
