Jharkhand CM asks new JPSC chairperson to fill up vacancies 

Ranchi, September 28: Jharkhand chief minister Hemant Soren had a meeting with newly appointed Chairperson of Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) Mary Neelima Kerketta at Ranchi.

Chief minister asked the chairperson to ensure that exams for filling up vacancies in government posts are held at the earliest with all transparency and stressed that filling up the vacant posts is the top priority of the government.

The chairperson apprised the Chief Minister about the ongoing preparations for conducting various competitive examinations to be conducted by the Commission and assured that commission would complete the process of examinations for various posts with complete transparency in time.

Significantly, Mary Neelima Kerketta, an Indian Administrative Service (IAS 1994 batch) and Maharashtra cadre ex-IAS officer who retired on August 31 was appointed as the Chairperson of Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) earlier this month. On December 2020, she was transferred and posted as the Principal Secretary of Public Health Department in Maharashtra. Earlier, she served as CEO of Maharashtra State Khadi & Gramodyog Mandal, Mumbai.
