Chaibasa, Dec 9: West Singhbhum district police recovered the skeletons of three members of a family from Chhota Lagia forest on Friday. The deceased were identified as Jagdish Rajak (65), Sharda Devi (55) and Raj Rajak (17), sources said.
Police said four persons include two women were arrested for having killed the three after abducting them on 22th May last. The three were abducted from Kheriatangar Sidma Barusai village of Tantnagar and killed in Singaso forest. The bodies were buried in the forest, said Ashutosh Shekhar, SP, West Singhbhum, at a press conference.
Those arrested were identified as Rasai Sinku, Sushil Jamuda, Sushmita Behra and Parvati Behra. The prime accused of the case, Vikas Behra is still at large, said the SP.
The skeletons were recovered on the basis of confessional statement of Sushil Jamuda, police said.
