Jamshedpur, April 24: RVS Academy marked a significant milestone as it celebrated its silver jubilee with immense grandeur, pride and a deep sense of accomplishment. The school campus was filled with excitement and joy as parents, students, alumni, teachers and well-wishers gathered in large numbers to be part of the memorable occasion.
The celebration began with the traditional lighting of the ceremonial lamp, symbolizing the triumph of knowledge over ignorance. This was followed by a unique and moving ‘Silver Jubilee Diya Walk,’ where students carried 25 lamps onto the stage, each representing the school’s core values such as honesty, perseverance, compassion, and excellence. The moment added a sense of dignity and emotional depth to the celebration.
The event was graced by chief guest Arjun Munda, former Chief Minister of Jharkhand and former Union Minister, along with distinguished guests of honour Mili Sinha, Principal of Jusco School South Park, and Chhaya Das, former Principal of the school. Special guests included MLA Somesh Soren, MLA Samir Kumar Mohanty and Deputy Municipal Commissioner Krishna Kumar. The presence of chairman Binda Singh, secretary Bharat Singh, treasurer Shatrughna Singh and other dignitaries further elevated the occasion.
Addressing the gathering, chairman Binda Singh reflected on the inspiring journey of RVS Academy, which began with just one student and two teachers and had now grown into a reputed institution with over 2,800 students and 104 faculty members. He emphasized that the school’s journey had been one of nurturing character, shaping dreams and building responsible citizens.

In his keynote address, chief guest Arjun Munda congratulated the RVS family on completing 25 glorious years and praised the institution’s commitment to education and values. He highlighted the vital role of educational institutions in nation-building and encouraged students to remain disciplined, focused and rooted in Indian culture.
The program featured a melodious welcome song and captivating dance performances by students, followed by an audio-visual presentation showcasing the school’s remarkable journey from humble beginnings to excellence. The youngest students from LKG and Class 1 delighted the audience with their charming performances.
Principal Veena Mohindra presented the annual report, reaffirming the vision of ‘Education Without Borders,’ while secretary Bharat Singh emphasized the importance of holistic development. A highlight of the event was the felicitation of distinguished alumni, whose achievements reflected the institution’s legacy.
The celebration concluded with a grand cultural evening, where students portrayed the school’s evolution through vibrant performances. The silver jubilee stood as a proud tribute to 25 successful years and a promising vision for the future.
