SDO raids uncover illegal storage of sand, bricks in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, July 11: In Jamshedpur, Dhalbhum SDO Parul Singh conducted a series of raids in the Godgora area of MGM police station, East Singhbhum district, following actionable intelligence. The raids, carried out early on Thursday morning, targeted suspected illegal storage of construction materials. Acting on the information received, SDO Parul Singh led the operation that uncovered 25 Hyva trucks sand, 15 Hyva trucks bricks, and 7 Hyva trucks ballast illegally stored under the guise of a cement shop.

During the raid, authorities also seized a Hyva truck unloading ballast and apprehended its driver, Ashok Kumar. The operation revealed that the materials were allegedly being stored illegally by individuals identified as Rakesh Kumar and Deepak Kumar. SDO Parul Singh affirmed that stringent action would continue against such illegal practices to uphold the law and prevent unauthorized stockpiling.

The raids have caused concern among local suppliers of building materials, with estimates indicating that the seized items are valued in lakhs of rupees. The crackdown highlights the authorities’ commitment to tackling illegal activities in the area and ensuring compliance with regulations governing storage and distribution of construction materials.
