Jamshedpur, Jan 4: Jamshedpur East MLA, Saryu Roy, has recently penned a letter to Jamshedpur NAC, inquiring about the wards pertaining to the newly proposed Jamshedpur Industrial Township Committee, announced by the Jharkhand Government on December 28, 2023.

In the letter, Roy has requested comprehensive details regarding the inclusion and exclusion of wards from the Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee (NAC) in the proposed Industrial City Committee. The communication seeks information on the specific wards that have been incorporated, along with details about their respective areas, boundaries, and population.

Particularly, MLA Roy has posed queries regarding the omission of ward numbers 8, 9, and 10 from the proposed Jamshedpur Industrial City Committee. The letter raises questions about the rationale behind excluding these specific wards from the committee, considering that the government’s notification on December 28, 2023, lists ward numbers 1 to 7 and 11 to 19 as part of the proposed committee, covering a total area of 15,725/15,480 acres.

MLA Saryu Roy emphasizes the urgency of receiving this information promptly, seeking clarification on the decisions surrounding the allocation and exclusion of wards in the proposed Jamshedpur Industrial City Committee. The matter holds significance as it directly impacts the constituents and urban planning of Jamshedpur.
