Jamshedpur, Jan 4: Rahul Gandhi’s Nyay Yatra in Jharkhand is scheduled for February, with a recently released itinerary omitting the three districts of Kolhan division. The decision was communicated during a meeting held in Delhi, attended by Alamgir Alam from Jharkhand, State President Rajesh Thakur, and State In-Charge Mir Ahmed.
The yatra is strategically planned to traverse areas considered strongholds of Congress, entering Jharkhand via Koderma. Rahul Gandhi is expected to spend eight days in the state, concluding his journey in Odisha through Simdega. The route encompasses Koderma, Hazaribagh, Ramgarh, Ranchi, Khunti, Gumla, and Simdega in Odisha.
Numerous senior Congress leaders are actively involved in promoting the yatra in their respective districts, lobbying for Rahul Gandhi’s visit. As preparations intensify, there’s a keen interest among leaders to manipulate and secure his presence in their regions.
Scheduled to commence on January 14 and concluding on March 20, the Bharat Nyay Yatra is part of Rahul Gandhi’s pre-2024 Lok Sabha election initiatives. The extensive journey will cover 14 states and 85 districts, spanning over 6,200 kilometers by bus and on foot. Congress General Secretaries KC Venugopal and Jairam Ramesh announced this at the party headquarters, emphasizing the significance of the Bharat Nyaya Yatra following the Bharat Jodo Yatra. The route includes Manipur, Nagaland, Assam, Meghalaya, West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat, and concludes in Maharashtra.
