Sakchi Gurudwara Committee gifts scooties to ‘granthis’ on Baisakhi

Election date to be announced after General Body Meeting on April 20

Jamshedpur, April 13: The Sakchi Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee celebrated Baisakhi with great devotion and enthusiasm on Sunday, marking the 326th Khalsa Panth Foundation Day. The celebration began with the recitation of the sacred verse from Guru Granth Sahib, “Baisakh Suhava Taan Lage Ja Sant Bheten Har Soi…”, followed by a spiritual Kirtan Darbar that drew a large number of devotees.

In a gesture of gratitude and respect, the committee, under the leadership of Pradhan Nishan Singh, gifted scooties to granthis Amritpal Singh Mannan and Jarnail Singh. Trustees Satnam Singh Sidhu and Avtar Singh, along with Pradhan Nishan Singh, General Secretary Paramjit Singh Kale, and Naujwan Sabha President Rohitdeep Singh, presented the keys to the Granthis in the presence of the Sangat after the Kirtan Darbar.

Speaking on the occasion, Paramjit Singh Kale highlighted that the committee had earlier provided modern housing facilities to the granthis under the Baba Budha Ji Niwas initiative. He also presented the financial report of the committee’s tenure, detailing income, expenditure, and ongoing developmental works. He assured the Sangat that future projects will be implemented with the same dedication.

Pradhan Nishan Singh, in his address, emphasized that the service entrusted to the committee by the Sangat was fulfilled with complete sincerity. He reiterated that all future decisions will continue to be guided by the Sangat. He also announced an increment in the salaries of sevadars, granthis, and Ragi Singhs, ensuring their well-being and dignity.

Looking ahead to the upcoming Gurudwara elections, Nishan Singh informed that the process of preparing the voter list would begin on April 14. A General Body Meeting (GBM) has been scheduled for Sunday, April 20 at 4 PM, during which the blueprint for the election process will be finalized.

Earlier in the day, the Akhand Paath Sahib concluded at 10:30 AM, followed by a soul-stirring Kirtan Darbar. The Sikh Stree Satsang Sabha began the program with devotional hymns, followed by melodious Gurbani Kirtan by Bibi from the Sukhmani Sahib Kirtani Jatha. Huzuri Ragi Jatha of Sakchi Gurdwara, led by Bhai Sahib Bhai Sandeep Singh Ji from Gurdaspur, further elevated the spiritual atmosphere.

Head Granthi Amrit Pal Singh shared insights into the historical significance of the creation of the Khalsa Panth, deepening the spiritual connection of the Sangat.

The event also saw the presence of several dignitaries, including BJP state spokesperson Amarpreet Singh Kale, Congress leader Parwinder Singh, and Sakchi Police Station In-charge Anand Mishra, accompanied by Sub-Inspector Amit Kumar Singh and Neeraj Kumar Gupta.

After the conclusion of the Kirtan Darbar, Guru Aatoot Langar was served to the Sangat with warmth and devotion.

Chief Sevadar Nishan Singh and General Secretary Paramjit Singh Kale, along with committee members Satnam Singh Sidhu, Shamsher Singh Soni, Jasbir Singh Gandhi, Satinder Singh Romi, Satnam Singh Ghuman, Sunny Singh Bariyar, Aman Singh, Ajaib Singh Bariyar, Trilochan Singh Tochi, Jaimal Singh Bariyar, Gurpal Singh, Harpal Singh, Daljit Singh, Pritpal Singh, Rohitdeep Singh, Moni Singh Randhawa, Satpal Singh Raju, Balbir Singh, Jagminder Singh Kake, Jaspal Singh, and Tarsem Singh Bariyar played key roles in organizing and ensuring the success of the Baisakhi Kirtan Darbar.
