Wings of Ambition: 70 Students Embark on ‘Flight of Fantasy 2026’ to New Delhi

Jamshedpur: Seventy underprivileged students from Jharkhand and Odisha took to the skies for the first time on Monday as Round Table India – Area 16 launched its flagship “Flight of Fantasy 2026” initiative. The two-day educational tour flew the students to New Delhi, where they will visit Parliament House and Rashtrapati Bhavan to inspire a new generation of national leaders.

A Journey of National Discovery

The participants, selected from cities including Dhanbad, Ranchi, Jamshedpur, Jharsuguda, Rourkela, Sambalpur, Cuttack, and Bhubaneswar, travelled to the national capital for an immersive two-day educational tour. The itinerary is designed to foster a sense of national pride and civic awareness, featuring guided visits to:

  • Parliament House
  • Rashtrapati Bhavan
  • Other significant educational and cultural landmarks in New Delhi.

Collaborative Leadership

The initiative is being spearheaded by Area Flight of Fantasy (FOF) 2026 Chairman Abhijit Mohanty, alongside Area FOF Conveners LMF Tr. Harsh Vardhan Kandoi and Tr. Vineet Lohariwal.

From Jamshedpur, Table Chairman (JGSRT 224) Vivek Kumar Naredi and Treasurer Mohit Agarwal are actively guiding and mentoring the students. The program is a collaborative effort with RTI Area 5, led by Pulkit Jindal, with ground support from Delhi Midtown RT 49, Delhi Millennium RT 149, and Noida RT 285.

Empowering Through Exposure

Beyond the thrill of flying, the “Flight of Fantasy” is a strategic effort to promote holistic development. By exposing students to national institutions, the organizers aim to broaden their career aspirations and instill a positive, “can-do” outlook toward the future.

“The exposure helps students unlock new possibilities and see themselves as future leaders of the nation,” noted an official from Round Table India.

A Legacy of Impact

Since its inception in 2010, the Flight of Fantasy initiative has enabled more than 10,000 children to experience the skies. As a non-political and non-sectarian voluntary organization, Round Table India continues to drive nation-building through its core motto: “Freedom Through Education.”
