Ranchi: In an eagerly anticipated event, former Congress Party President and Member of Parliament, Rahul Gandhi, is set to kick off his ‘Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra’ from Dhanbad, Jharkhand. The Dhanbad District Congress Committee is actively preparing to welcome the leader, generating widespread excitement among the party workers in the region.
Rahul Gandhi’s yatra is part of a larger initiative, beginning with the name ‘Bharat Nyay Yatra’ from Manipur on January 14, covering a staggering 6700 kilometers on foot. The subsequent phase, ‘Bharat Jodo Nyaya Yatra,’ will span 804 km in Jharkhand alone, traversing through 13 districts in the state.
The route chart for Rahul Gandhi’s yatra has been unveiled, detailing his journey through Manipur, Nagaland, Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, and back to Assam before heading towards Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, and Maharashtra via Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, and Odisha.
While the specific date for Rahul Gandhi’s program in Jharkhand is yet to be announced, a meeting chaired by Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge, attended by national general secretaries, state presidents, and legislative party leaders, discussed the preparations for ‘Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra.’ State in-charge Ghulam Ahmed Mir, state president Rajesh Thakur, and legislative party leader Alamgir Alam participated in the meeting, where the central leadership directed the state leaders to initiate preparations for the yatra.
As per the released route chart, Dhanbad will witness the padyatra’s entry from Bengal, adding to the excitement of Congress members in the region anticipating Rahul Gandhi’s symbolic journey through the heart of Jharkhand.
