Ranchi gears up to host FIH Hockey Olympic Qualifier with free entry for spectators

Ranchi: Ranchi, the capital of Jharkhand, is set to host the FIH Hockey Olympic Qualifier 2024 for women from January 13 to 19. The Jharkhand Government, in collaboration with Hockey India, has officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) regarding the organization of this prestigious event.

Originally slated to be held in China, the venue was shifted to Ranchi after China secured direct entry to the Paris Olympics 2024. All the thrilling matches of the Women’s Hockey Olympic Qualifier 2024 will take place at the Jaipal Singh Astroturf Hockey Stadium in Marang Gomke, Ranchi.

The state capital is fully prepared to welcome the participating teams and spectators, ensuring a smooth and successful execution of the qualifiers. As a special gesture, entry for spectators will be free, encouraging local support for the sport and fostering a vibrant atmosphere at the stadium.
