Jamshedpur, July 4: Former Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das on Saturday completed and submitted his Special Intensive Revision (SIR) enumeration form along with his family as part of the Election Commission of India’s ongoing voter roll verification drive.
He also appealed to citizens across the state to actively participate in the campaign and extend full cooperation to ensure an accurate and transparent electoral roll.
Joining him in the process were his wife Rukmini Devi, son Lalit Das, and daughter-in-law and Jamshedpur East MLA Purnima Sahu, all of whom submitted their respective enumeration forms.
The exercise was carried out in the presence of Returning Officer-cum-Dhalbhum Sub-Divisional Officer Arnav Mishra, Assistant Electoral Registration Officer (AERO) Anil Tuti, while Booth Level Officer (BLO) Ramila Mahanand facilitated the completion of the enumeration process.
Speaking on the occasion, Das described the Election Commission’s Special Intensive Revision campaign as a significant initiative aimed at strengthening the democratic process by ensuring greater transparency and accuracy in the electoral rolls.
He said every eligible voter has a responsibility to cooperate with Booth Level Officers by providing correct and updated electoral details. Stressing the importance of the exercise, he said the revision process should ensure that no genuine voter is left out of the electoral roll and no ineligible name is included.
Urging citizens to respond positively to the campaign, Das appealed to all eligible voters to submit their enumeration forms within the stipulated timeframe and actively participate in the revision exercise so that the electoral roll remains clean, transparent, inclusive, and error-free, thereby reinforcing the integrity of India’s democratic system.
