NCC training camp concludes at NIT Adityapur

549 cadets complete 10-day military training; Dev Rishi Kashyap honoured

 Jamshedpur, July 4: The Annual Training Camp-13 (ATC-13) of the 37 Jharkhand Battalion NCC concluded on Saturday at the NIT Adityapur campus after a 10-day training programme. Organised under the NCC Group Headquarters, Ranchi, the camp was conducted under the leadership of Commanding Officer Colonel Vinay Ahuja.

A total of 549 NCC cadets, including boys and girls from schools and colleges across the Kolhan division, participated in the camp. The cadets received intensive training in discipline, leadership, drill, firing, weapon handling and military life.

The camp also included sessions on simulator firing, map reading, cyber security, national integration, social service, firefighting and CPR techniques to prepare cadets for emergency situations. Career counselling was organised for students aspiring to join the armed forces.

A special highlight of the closing ceremony was the felicitation of NCC Cadet Dev Rishi Kashyap of Ghatshila College, who represented the Indian NCC delegation at the Youth Exchange Programme held in Russia from May 30 to June 7. He was honoured for bringing recognition to his unit and college at the international level.

Deputy Camp Commandant Colonel Prem Chand Jha, other military officers, PI staff and Associate NCC Officers played a key role in the successful conduct of the camp.

Jamshedpur, July 4: NCC Cadet Dev Rishi Kashyap of Ghatshila College was honoured during the closing ceremony of the Annual Training Camp-13 (ATC-13) of the 37 Jharkhand Battalion NCC at the NIT Adityapur campus on Saturday.

Dev Rishi was felicitated for representing the Indian NCC delegation at the Youth Exchange Programme held in Russia from May 30 to June 7.

The ceremony was attended by senior NCC officers and principals of Ghatshila College and LBSM College.
