Seraikela-Kharsawan, Nov 19: A technical team review meeting was held at the Seraikela-Kharsawan District Chess Association office to assess preparations for the upcoming 54th National Junior and 39th National Junior Girls Chess Championships. The meeting was chaired by International Arbiter and Deputy Chief Arbiter for the event, Jayant Bhuyan.
Key discussions focused on the structure of the competition, roles and responsibilities of the arbiter team, support arrangements, and management requirements for conducting the tournament smoothly. Technical members—including I.A. Vishal Kumar Minz, F.A. Vikram Kumar, SNA Aniruddha Sahu, and Shubhangi Verma—shared inputs on the action plan and stressed that fairness and discipline must remain top priorities for a national-level competition.
All participants agreed on the importance of coordination and defining responsibilities clearly to strengthen the technical framework of the tournament.
Tournament Director Ajay Kumar and Coordinator Milan Kumar informed that the District Chess Association is expediting all necessary preparations to ensure a successful, high-standard championship. They assured that with active support from the technical team, every round of the competition will be conducted on time and in an organized manner.
Concluding the meeting, President Jayant Bhuyan said the National Championship would serve as an excellent platform for talented chess players from across India. He expressed confidence that the combined efforts of the entire team would help the district set a new benchmark in hosting national-level sporting events.
