Jamshedpur, Nov 19: NML Kerala Public School celebrated Annual Sports Day with great enthusiasm at the JRD Sports Complex on Wednesday. The event was graced by District Sports Officer (East Singhbhum) Rupa Rani Tirkey as the Chief Guest, and Senior Sports Administrator of Tata Steel Sports Department, Firoz Khan, as the Guest of Honour.
Chairperson of KPS Trust Madam Manorama Nair, Assistant Director of KPS Schools Madam Shanta Vaidyanathan, Principal Gurmeet Kaur, and Vice Principals Mandeep Kaur and Gunjan Malhotra were also present along with other dignitaries.
The event began with a well-coordinated March Past, showcasing unity and discipline among students. The School President, along with House Captains, led the Oath Taking ceremony, setting a tone of commitment and sportsmanship for the day. In her address, the Chief Guest encouraged students to embrace sports as a way to build character and confidence.
Various track and field events were conducted, witnessing enthusiastic participation from students across all age groups. The performances of both junior and senior students added excitement and healthy competition to the day.
The Mauryas clinched the Overall Championship Trophy, while the Marathas secured the Runner-Up position. The event concluded with cheers, showcasing the talent and team spirit of the students.
