Manmohan Singh Rajput elected Seraikela-Kharsawan District Olympic Association President

Seraikela: The annual general meeting and elections of the District Olympic Association, Seraikela-Kharsawan, were held at Atal Park, Adityapur, with representatives from 27 district sports associations participating. The election, conducted peacefully and transparently, witnessed unanimous support for Manmohan Singh Rajput, who was elected as the District President for the 2025–29 session.

The process was overseen by Jharkhand Olympic Association Treasurer Shivendu Dubey, Election Observer Dr. Nishikant Pathak of the Jharkhand Volleyball Association, and Lal Singhdev, who announced the results.

In addition to Rajput’s selection, Manoj Sinha was elected Patron, while Rajesh Sahu, Mohammad Dildar, Sumant Mahanty, and Ravi Shekhar Singh were made Senior Vice Presidents. Sunil Kumar Singh, RK Verma, Laxman Mahato, Sachin Kumar Rana, Raj Bagchi, and Anita Behera were elected Vice Presidents. Sikandar Mahato was chosen as General Secretary, with Ganesh Chandra Mahato, Narendra Mahato, Arvind Kumar Sharma, Baby Mahato, Dilip Gupta, Ganesh C. Kalindi, Amitesh Amar, Amit Modak, and Vishwam Dev Singh as Joint Secretaries. Vishnu Narayan Singh was elected Treasurer.

Members of the Executive Committee included Karamu Mandal, Chandan Kumar, Sujit Rajak, Balram Tanti, Vishnu Oraon, Shobha Mahato, Sapan Kumar, Lakhan Sardar, Ganesh Choubey, and Pinaki Ranjan. Akhleshwar Prasad Singh was selected as Chairman of the Planning Committee.

Speaking after his election, Rajput pledged to focus on identifying and nurturing sports talent across the district. He assured that the trust shown in him by all associations would be honored by working for the development of sports and athletes.
