Fire Engulfs Parked Cars in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, May 8: Panic spread near the RD Tata Roundabout under Golmuri police station limits on Thursday after two parked cars suddenly caught fire and were completely destroyed within a short time. The incident created chaos in the busy area as thick smoke and flames rose high, alarming local residents and passersby.

According to eyewitnesses, the vehicles had reportedly been parked for sale and purchase purposes when the fire broke out unexpectedly. Within minutes, both cars were engulfed in flames. People nearby rushed away from the spot fearing the fire could spread further.

After receiving information, fire brigade teams quickly reached the area and launched firefighting operations. Firefighters worked for a long time to control the blaze. However, by the time the fire was extinguished, both vehicles had been reduced to ashes. The owners reportedly suffered losses worth several lakh rupees.

Fortunately, the flames did not spread to nearby shops and establishments, preventing a major mishap in the crowded locality.

Police officials also reached the scene and started an investigation. Preliminary findings suggest that a short circuit may have caused the fire, though officials have not ruled out the possibility of arson. CCTV footage from the area is being examined, and a forensic team has been called to determine the exact cause of the incident.
