Jamshedpur, May 8: The Readers’ Club of Kasidih High School organised a programme on Friday to celebrate the birth anniversary of Rabindranath Tagore. The event paid tribute to the legendary poet, philosopher and educationist whose ideas continue to inspire generations.
The programme began with a reflection on Tagore’s philosophy and teachings, followed by a keynote speech highlighting his contributions to literature, education and nation-building. Speakers described Tagore as a visionary who dreamed of a fearless and enlightened society.
Students presented a series of cultural performances based on Tagore’s literary works. The highlight of the celebration was a dance performance inspired by Tagore’s famous poem “Where the Mind is Without Fear.” The presentation beautifully conveyed the poet’s vision of truth, freedom and humanity.
The entire school atmosphere reflected creativity and cultural richness as music, poetry and dance performances captivated the audience.
A representative of the Readers’ Club said the event was not just a celebration but a heartfelt tribute to a literary icon whose thoughts and writings continue to influence society across the world.
