Jamshedpur, May 8: Lajpat Public School organised its Annual Prize Nite 2026 at the school auditorium with the theme “Mythology,” combining Indian cultural values with academic excellence.
The programme began with the arrival of chief guest Vijay Mehta. Principal Ranjit Ghosh presented the annual report and highlighted the school’s achievements in academics, sports and co-curricular activities during the 2025-26 session.

Students captivated the audience with mythology-themed performances, including Vishnu Avtar dance, Nav Durga dance, Hanuman Chalisa dance drama and instrumental music presentations. The Junior Section also impressed everyone with a colourful dance performance.
Addressing the gathering, Vijay Mehta praised the school for connecting students with Indian culture and traditions. He said such values help shape responsible future leaders.
The main attraction of the evening was the prize distribution ceremony, where students from Nursery to Class VII were honoured for academic excellence, discipline, attendance and all-round performance. Special awards were also given for achievements in sports and cultural activities.
Former student Ashmit Sharma also performed a musical tribute that received loud applause from the audience.
