Jamshedpur, Jan 17: The Interact Club of Loyola School, Telco, organized a meaningful visit to Cheshire Home, which provides care for leprosy patients, mentally handicapped individuals, and chronic spastic/paraplegic patients.

Class 7 students participated in the visit, bringing along useful consumer items such as rations, woollens, clothes, and toiletries collected during the Joy of Giving week. The initiative was aimed at instilling moral values and a sense of gratitude among the young learners.

Through this act of sharing, the students showcased the spirit of generosity and community care promoted by the school. They spent quality time with the inmates, listening to their life stories and engaging in conversations to foster empathy and understanding.

Principal Charanjeet Ohson and Administrator Fr. Gerry played crucial roles in organizing the visit, ensuring its success and impact. “The experience was designed to teach students the value of humanity and helping others while recognizing how blessed they are,” said Principal Ohson.

This initiative underscores Loyola School’s commitment to nurturing well-rounded individuals who are not only academically accomplished but also morally grounded. Students returned from the visit with a deeper appreciation of life and a renewed commitment to contribute positively to society.
