Muskan Sona bags Principal’s Award at DBMS English School graduation night

Jamshedpur, Jan 17: The Graduation Ceremony for the outgoing batch of Std. XII 2023-2024 was organized at D.B.M.S. English School on January 16. The evening celebrated the academic achievements and marked the successful completion of the students’ journey at the institution.

The ceremony began with the Principal, Rajani Shekhar, and Vice-Principal P.K. Sahu leading the academic procession. They were followed by Class teachers, Subject Teachers, and students of Std. XII A, B, C, and D.

The Chief Guest for the occasion was Professor (Dr) Goutam Sutradhar, Director at the National Institute of Technology, Jamshedpur. The ceremonial lamp was lit by Dr. Sutradhar along with the Chairpersons of the school Managing Committee, B. Chandrashekhar and Lalitha Chandrashekhar, and other members of the Managing Committee.

A prayer song by the school choir opened the ceremony, seeking blessings for the graduating students. Principal Rajani Shekhar delivered a heartfelt speech highlighting the achievements of the outgoing batch and encouraging them to carry forward the values instilled by their alma mater.

Chief Guest inspired the students to strive for excellence in their chosen fields, while Chairperson B. Chandrashekhar motivated them to become the true gems of society. Manisha Bhattacharya, the Co-ordinator of the Plus Two level, wished the students success in their future endeavors, and Reena Gandhi, a parent addressed the gathering reminiscing the fourteen years of joyful learning experienced by her ward at D.B.M.S. English School.

The Special Awards were presented by the Chief Guest to the most deserving students. The T.S. Ramaiah Shastrigal Shield for maximum contribution in Science Activities was awarded to J. Monish of Std. XII B.

The Special Recognition Award for Intellectual Brilliance, donated by former Maths teacher Indu Trehan, was given to Keshav Agarwal of Std. XII A. The Vidyavati Bahadur Memorial Trophy for General Knowledge was shared by Mridul Agarwal of Std. XII D and Yuvraj Sethi of Std. XII A.

The Thomas Paul Memorial Shield for the Best Speaker in Plus Two level, donated by former DBMS faculty member Mr. Siddharth Sen, was awarded to Srishti Rani of Std. XII A, N. Vidisha of Std. XII D, and P. Khyatishree of Std. XII D.

The Award for the Most Disciplined Outgoing Student, donated by Mrs. Prema Balasubramanian, former Vice Chairperson and Ex Principal of D.B.M.S. English School, was shared by Srishti Rani of Std. XII A and Muskan Sona of Std. XII B.

The prestigious Principal’s Award for exemplary dedication, discipline, and commitment was awarded to Muskan Sona of Std. XII B.

Following the presentation of awards, certificates, and mementos were distributed to the graduating students by the Chief Guest and other school dignitaries. The ceremony concluded with the vote of thanks proposed by Richa Arvind Singh, a student, followed by the School Anthem and National Anthem sung by the school choir.

The academic procession then led out solemnly, as the proud graduates bid farewell to their alma mater, pledging to carry the values and lessons they have learned forward into their future.
