Classic 8 rally past Jharkhand Sporting in Premier Division

Jamshedpur, June 26: Classic 8 produced a spirited second-half comeback to defeat Jharkhand Sporting Club 2-1 in a Premier Division match at Telco Ground on Friday.

Jharkhand Sporting Club took the lead in the 22nd minute through Arun Saren, who finished a well-worked move to put his team ahead. Classic 8 responded strongly after the break and gradually dominated the match. Jaypal Sirka equalised in the 55th minute before Gourav Mukhi scored the winner in the 77th minute, sealing an impressive comeback victory and earning three valuable points.

New Boys Club Beat Jamshedpur Boys Club in Super Division

In the Super Division fixture at Gopal Maidan, New Boys Club defeated Jamshedpur Boys Club 2-1 in an exciting contest.

Suresh Murmu opened the scoring in the 16th minute, while Suraj Hansda doubled the lead just before half-time to give New Boys Club a comfortable advantage. Jamshedpur Boys Club fought back after the interval, with Birashapati Hembram reducing the margin in the 66th minute. However, New Boys Club defended resolutely in the closing stages to secure all three points.

Vikas Samities win; Jh Bayar and Smile Club share points

In the A Division Group A match at Armoury Ground, Jh Bayar and Smile Club played out a goalless draw. Both teams created opportunities but failed to find the breakthrough, settling for a point each.

In Group B, Vikas Samities registered a convincing 3-1 victory over Jharkhand Dynamoz Football Academy at Tinplate Ground. Pradip Murmu gave Vikas Samities the lead in the 17th minute, followed by Ugram Soren’s goal in the 26th minute. Budhewar Gope added the third goal in the 56th minute to put the match beyond reach.

Savan Hansda scored a consolation goal for Jharkhand Dynamoz FA in the 64th minute. The losing side’s woes increased when Budan Tudu was sent off after receiving his second yellow card. The victory strengthened Vikas Samities’ position in Group B.
