Loyola Jamshedpur emerges winner at inter Jesuit School quiz contest

Gamharia, Sept 21: The final round of the Inter Jesuit School Quiz Competition under Jamshedpur Provincial was organized at Xavier School, Gamharia. The host team won In the Sub-Junior category. Loyola School of Jamshedpur emerged winners in the Junior and Senior categories. The participating teams in this Inter Jesuit Schools’ Quiz competition included Denobili Schools (CMIRI and Bhuli), Loyola Schools (Baripada and Jamshedpur) and hosts, Xavier Schools of Gamharia and Jamshedpur. Xavier School Principal, Fr Dr Anthony Raj SJ while addressing the students wished them a bright and successful future.

ERC Director Father Kuruvilla was present as the chief guest. In his brief speech, Fr Kuruvilla encouraged the students and asked them not to be daunted by big challenges but persist and move on towards the goals they had set their focus on. He also apprised about the main purpose and pursuit of the Society of Jesus. The Quiz Masters were Ian Edward and Mukti Das. Faculty members present during the final rounds of the Quiz Contest included Ujjwal Mukherjee, Shiv Shankar Kumar and others who had organized the entire Quiz Contest.
