Jamshedpur Summer camp concludes with dazzling performances

Jamshedpur, May 31: Promoting sports as a way of life, Tata Steel’s Summer Camp 2023 concluded in a high at JRD Tata Sports Complex on Tuesday, May 30. Chanakya Chaudhary, Vice President (Corporate Services), Tata Steel graced the occasion as Chief Guest along with Asmita Dorjee.

More than 4000+ children in 22 disciplines participated in this year’s Summer Camp.

The Summer Camp 2023 that spanned over a period of 18 days not only offered a host of fitness activities to choose from but also gave ample options for children and their parents to enjoy the summers holidays to the fullest and make it memorable.

On the occasion all 22 disciplines participated in the a music and dance competition where children from Football Summer Camp bagged the first prize, second prize was clinched by the children from Masti Ki Pathshala and children from Swimming Summer Camp won the third prize. A special live art show was also done by Param Shah.

A special interaction with Asmita Dorjee, who recently scaled Mount Everest in her second attempt was also organised at the JRD Tata Sports Complex. She expressed her happiness and joy of scaling Mount Everest.

She thanked Tata Steel’s Adventure Foundation and her family for their never-ending-support.

The closing ceremony was organised by the children of summer camp and more than 180 children in various groups and teams performed on a series of musical numbers.

The closing ceremony was organised at ‘The Furnace’ and more than 2000 individuals including parents witnessed the spectacular performances by the children.

Apart from the cultural events several fun zones, food zones and music and dance zones were set up to make it a holistic fun fest for children and parents.

The Summer Camp 2023 was organised by a dedicated team of Tata Steel Sports Department and Tata Steel Adventure Foundation.
