Summer camp at Tata Steel Complex colony concludes

Gamharia, May 31: The 15 day summer camp organized at the Tata Steel Complex colony concluded on a promising note as 150 participating children exhibited their newly acquired exuberance while playing and learning various facets necessary for a healthy body and intelligent mind. The participants at the summer camp organized by Tata Steel Sports Department comprised Colony children and students of Vidya Jyoti School.  

The chief guest at the closing ceremony, GM Tata Steel Growth Shop Sharad Kumar Sharma observed, “Sports is an essential ingredient for a healthy body and disciplined mindset as it leads to mental, intellectual and physical development. Efforts will be made to provide the camp participants a chance to perform better at the national and international levels.”

Shiv Lakhan Singh, General Secretary of TISCO Mazdoor Union, who was present as a special guest, said that this event is a matter of pride for the children and parents of the Tata Steel Complex Colony. Head (Manufacturing) Pancham Kumar Tunk said that along with studies, sports was very important for growing children. On this occasion, Head (HRM) Deepak Varghese, Principal of Vidya Jyoti School Sunil Kumar Jha, Tata Steel Sports Department’s officials Anand Kumar, Satish and Nageshwar Rao also addressed the gathering during the concluding function of the 15 day summer camp. The winners of various competitive events at the camp were awarded medals. Sanjay Kumar Singh, JK Jha, Dinesh Kumar Upadhyay, Kaushal Kumar Singh, Sanjay Kumar Singh, Dilip Mahato, Vikas Verma, Ranjan Mishra and Sanjay Tiwari were among others who were present on the occasion.
