Jamshedpur, June 9: President of Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce and Industries (SCCI), Vijay Anand Moonka has demanded Central government to fix rate of air ambulances in the country.
The SCCI president has said Super specialty hospitals are not available in many states. Due to which patients have to be taken to other states of the country like Bangalore, Vellore, Hyderabad, Coimbatore, Mumbai, Delhi for the treatment of serious illness.
“Sometimes an air ambulance is required to take the patients to the hospital immediately in case of urgent need. At present, the facility of air ambulance, which is provided by the administrator companies and it seems that they have monopoly without any regulation. Air ambulances are needed in emergency to save lives and they charge exorbitant fees depending on the needs of the patient’s transfer. Due to such expensive rates the general public is unable to use it and due to this, patients also lose their lives deprived of proper treatment in good hospitals.
The Sakchi based trader said that a reasonable rate of air ambulance should be fixed so that common citizens can also use it when needed.
