Jamshedpur, May 30: The court of Additional District and Sessions Judge Dinesh Kumar rejected the anticipatory bail petition of the five accused in Rahul Agrawal suicide case here on Monday.
The five accused, city businessman Pradip Chudiwala, his daughter Varsha Agrawal, wife Kusum Chudiwala, son Piyush Chudiwala and younger daughter Megha Chudiwala, were booked for torturing Rahul Agrawal and leading him to commit suicide.
Rahul, a businessman based in Rourkela, had jumped off a seven storied building in Bistupur last month. He had left behind suicide notes and videos, accusing his wife Varsha Agrawal and in-laws of implicating him in false dowry case and torturing him mentally.
Rahul jumped off the seven-storied Om Tower at Diagonal Road, Bistupur, after being allegedly tormented by his wife and in-laws. He had sent videos to his brother and a WhatsApp message to SP City before taking the fatal jump. He had blamed his wife and in-laws for his suicide.
