Jamshedpur, Jan 12: Member of Parliament Bidyut Baran Mahto on Sunday visited the Domuhani river area in Sonari to assess preparations for the upcoming Tusu festival and Makar Sankranti. The MP took the opportunity to review the ongoing cleanliness drive in the region, interacting directly with sanitation workers and providing necessary instructions to enhance the efforts.
Expressing satisfaction with the current state of cleanliness, MP Mahto encouraged officials from Tata Steel UISL to work closely with local teams to further improve the sanitation measures. He stressed the importance of community involvement in keeping the area clean and urged the residents to cooperate actively in maintaining cleanliness, especially during the festive season.
“Let us celebrate the festivals with a greater sense of responsibility towards the environment. It is essential for all of us to contribute to the cleanliness of our surroundings,” said MP Mahto during his visit.
The MP’s visit was attended by several local dignitaries and community leaders, including Chittaranjan Verma, Akhilesh Singh, Sanjay Tiwari, Satendra Singh Yadav, Krishna Yadav, Dr. Deepak Ghosh, and others. Together, they pledged their support to the cleanliness initiatives and affirmed their commitment to promoting eco-friendly celebrations during the festive season.
