Jamshedpur, May 13: A middle-aged man, identified as Barjo Pramanik, a resident of Pradhan Tola, Bagbera, drowned in the Kharkai river near Baroda Ghat on Friday. His body was found floating near the riverbank this morning by local residents who informed police about it. Barjo’s son identified his father’s body before police. The body was sent to MGM Medical College for postmortem examination.
Cops suspect the deceased drowned while bathing. The man must have slipped into the deep water by accident, they said.
