Jamshedpur, May 13: With the departure of Cyclone Asani, the people of Kolhan are once again in for some discomfort caused by heat and humidity. Friday witnessed a rise of four degrees in mercury levels during the day in the three districts, though the impact of the cyclone has not fully disappeared from Jharkhand, sources said.

Weather department sources said the north-eastern and eastern parts of the state would continue witnessing spells of rain till 17th May. A trough is running in the western Madhya Pradesh and north-east Jharkhand, which has caused cyclonic circulation.
Jamshedpur recorded 2.8 mm rain on Thursday. Clouds covered the skies at night. The weather turned hot and humid in the morning. Today’s maximum temperature was 40 degree Celsius. Yesterday, the temperature weas 37 degrees, sources said.
