Giridih: The Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) on Sunday organised a one-day BLA-2 training camp and booth-level conference in Giridih to prepare party workers for the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls. The programme was held at Utsav Upvan auditorium and attended by BLA-2 representatives and booth committee members from all six Assembly constituencies of the district.
Addressing the gathering, Sudivya Kumar said it was the responsibility of BLA-2 representatives and booth committees to ensure that no genuine voter was removed from the electoral rolls. He asserted that JMM would successfully face the challenges posed by the SIR process through strong booth-level preparation.
Gandey MLA Kalpana Murmu Soren stressed the need to pay special attention to women voters during the revision exercise. She said women often change residences after marriage, making documentation crucial. She urged booth-level workers to help women keep their necessary documents ready and ensure that no valid voter is deleted while preventing the inclusion of ineligible names.

JMM central general secretary and spokesperson Vinod Kumar Pandey said the party was closely monitoring the SIR process from the booth level to the central leadership. He emphasized that eligible voters should not be left out and ineligible voters should not be added to the rolls.
Rajya Sabha MP Sarfaraz Ahmad urged party workers to remain vigilant throughout the revision process and immediately report any issues to senior leaders. Former Jamua MLA Kedar Hazra said continuous training was being provided to party workers, while former Dhanwar MLA Nizamuddin Ansari called for special attention to minority communities during the exercise.
The programme began with leaders paying tribute to martyrs, followed by the ceremonial lighting of a lamp. A team from Ranchi conducted detailed training sessions on the SIR process and distributed relevant documents and materials to BLA-2 representatives and booth committee members.
Several party leaders, local representatives and a large number of women workers attended the event.
