Jamshedpur, March 30: A flying squad of Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee (JNAC) conducted surprise inspection of three roadside eateries in Sakchi on Wednesday. A fine of Rs 5000 was inflicted on each of the eateries for allegedly draining dirty and used water in the market.
Sources said local traders had complained against Aman Hotel, Jhopri Hotel and Shimla Hotel, for allegedly encroaching the public place and spreading garbage and dirty water all over the place on a daily basis. Acting promptly, a JNAC flying squad was sent to the spot to inquire into the allegations. Sakchi police also rushed to the spot to pacify the local traders who protested against the eateries. After giving a dressing down to the managers of the said eateries, the JNAC officials directed them to abstain from repeating such acts.
