Jamshedpur, March 30: Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee (JNAC) has expedited cleaning work across the city in view of the festivities ahead. Cleaning of drains, roads and other public places is on in full swing with the view to promote general cleanliness, said Krishna Kumar, Special Officer, JNAC, on Wednesday.
The JNAC has appealed to citizens to ensure segregation of household garbage into dry and wet waste to ensure better disposal of waste. It has also appealed to citizens to donate old books, magazines and novels to the JNAC office for donation to needy people.
The JNAC officials further appealed to citizens to prevent water pollution by throwing garbage in the rivers.
