Jamshedpur, Sept 29: Senior Congress leaders of Jamshedpur (East Singhbhum) district staged a protest at the Bistupur police station against BJP Spokesperson and former ABVP president Printu Mahadev, who threatened to “shoot Rahul Gandhi in the chest” during a live TV debate.

Several Congress leaders, including Rajkishore Yadav, Awadhesh Singh, Yogendra Singh Yadav, Brajendra Tiwari, Shafi Ahmed Khan, Rajneesh Singh, Sanjay Singh Azad and others accompanied the protest delegation. The Congress urged the police to act immediately and punish those guilty of using violent rhetoric against political opponents.

YC alleges conspiracy against Rahul Gandhi after BJP leader’s threat

Jamshedpur, Sept 29: Rakesh Sahu, State General Secretary of the Jharkhand Pradesh Youth Congress (YC), condemned the remarks of BJP spokesperson Printu Mahadev, who allegedly threatened to shoot Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi during a live debate on a Malayalam TV channel.

In a press release, Sahu said, “Before you touch Rahul Gandhi, you will have to shoot millions of Congress workers like us.” Calling the statement a reflection of the BJP’s “true mindset,” he alleged that the ruling party, shaken by exposure of vote theft, was now resorting to intimidation.

Sahu further said that this was not the first time BJP leaders had issued such controversial remarks and alleged a larger conspiracy to attack Rahul Gandhi. Calling the threat a direct assault on the Constitution and democracy, he demanded immediate legal action and an apology from the BJP leadership.
