Jamshedpur, Sept 29: The Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee (JNAC) conducted inspections of Durga Puja pandals across the city under the ongoing Swachhata Hi Seva campaign. Deputy Municipal Commissioner, along with the city management team, reviewed cleanliness measures, waste management systems and compliance with the ban on single-use plastic.
Special emphasis was placed on proper segregation of flower and organic waste and promoting the concept of Zero Waste Pandals. Organizers were encouraged to adopt eco-friendly decoration materials and sustainable puja practices.

Citizens were also urged to follow hygiene protocols by separating wet and dry waste at home and during festivities. JNAC emphasized that the campaign aimed to spread awareness about “Clean Pandal – Clean City – Clean India,” ensuring that the festival was celebrated in an environmentally responsible and waste-free manner.
