Jamshedpur, August 26: The Kowali Police have registered an FIR against 11 individuals, including a minor, following the seizure of banned meat on August 24. The arrest took place in the Kowali police station area, where two vehicles were intercepted in Palidih.
The minor apprehended during the operation revealed that he was transporting the banned meat from Haldipokhar to Odisha.
Along with the minor, the FIR names Gabbar, Smile, Yasin alias Khudrat, Lallu, Mokadar, Shamsher Ali, Ahmed Ali, and Sheikh Imran alias Kada. All accused reside in Haldipokhar.
The police action led to the minor being sent to judicial custody, while the investigation continues. The banned meat seizure has raised concerns about illegal meat trafficking in the region.
