Jamshedpur, August 26: Geeta Devi and her husband Suresh Kumar Singh, residents of 10 Number Basti on Padma Road, Jamshedpur, visited the SSP office on Monday, pleading for protection against their daughter-in-law, Ruchi Kumari Singh. The couple accused Ruchi of harassing them, making death threats, and implicating them in a false dowry harassment case.

In their memorandum to the SSP, Geeta Devi detailed that Ruchi had previously filed a baseless dowry harassment case against her, her husband Suresh, their son Rahul, and Rahul’s brother Rohit on June 19 at Sidhgora Police Station. Despite obtaining anticipatory bail, the situation worsened. Geeta claimed Ruchi forcibly entered their home, threatened them, and conspired to implicate them in another false case.

Geeta reported that Ruchi had previously attacked Rahul, creating an atmosphere of fear within the family. As a result, Geeta and Suresh requested immediate protection for their lives and property. They indicated that they would remain at the SSP office until their safety was ensured.
