Jamshedpur: BJP farmers unit to highlight Modi’s pro-farmers policies at panchayats 

Jamshedpur, September 16: Even as state is staring at drought like situation, BJP Kisan Morcha (the farmers unit of BJP) has decided to highlight pro-farmers policies of Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the panchayat level.

 In the third state working committee meeting of the Bharatiya Janata Party Kisan Morcha at Sakchi Dhalbhum Club on Friday, a strategy was made on the preparation to surround the state’s anti-farmer Hemant government by agitating up to the Panchayat level under a political proposal.

BJP Kisan Morcha National President Rajkumar Chahar said that the Hemant Soren government of Jharkhand has cheated the farmers. He said that the officers and workers of Kisan Morcha should do the work of taking the very important schemes brought for the farmers by the Narendra Modi government of the Center to the people.

He appreciated the work being done by Jharkhand Kisan Morcha and also did the work of filling energy among the workers of Kisan Morcha.

Former Chief Minister of the state Raghuvar Das said that BJP will continue to fight for the rights of farmers.

 Earlier, Rajkumar Chahar, BJP organization general secretary Karmaveer Singh,  morcha state President Pawan Sahu and other senior leaders jointly lit the lamp to inaugurate the program.

Pawan Sahu, presiding over the meeting, said that the State Government is giving protection to the middlemen. He demanded from the state government that the Chief Minister Krishi Ashirwad Yojna was being provided to the farmers for agricultural work, under which farmers with land up to 5 acres were being provided financial assistance at the rate of Rs 5000 per acre to a maximum of Rs 25,000. Hemant Soren government stopped this scheme too and demanded for rollout of the scheme immediately.

At the same time, they have not yet received the money for the paddy purchased from the farmers. He said that the Hemant government had made this announcement before the elections, the farmers of the state would be given farm loan waiver till 200000, but it remained only an election announcement. The government has also failed to provide compensation for the crop insurance done by the farmers.

Pawan Sahu further said that on one hand the Modi government in the country is working day and night in the interest of farmers, while on the other hand the joint government of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha, Congress and RJD is bent on eradicating the existence of farmers. He said that the Hemant government, which came to power by spreading confusion among the farmers, is treating the farmers step-motherly.

Sahu said that the schemes run by the previous BJP’s Raghubar government in the interest of farmers were stopped.
