Mail News Service

Jamshedpur, Feb 19: A delegation of Jamshedpur Chamber of Commerce led by Harvinder Singh Mintu met SP City Subhash Chandra Jaat on Saturday and demanded measures to improve the current law and order situation in the city.

The traders said the frequent incidents of loot in the city had shocked and disappointed the business community. They said the traders were not feeling safe after the recent loot incidents at Bistupur and Sakchi.

“The traders are anxious about their safety. First Rs 32 lakh were looted in Bistupur and then gold ornaments worth Rs 10 lakh were looted in Sakchi. This certainly calls for a strong measure by the police,” said Mantu.

The traders demanded installation of CCTV cameras across the city, intensive patrolling of all city streets and public places and a special campaign against criminals.
