Gamharia, July 13: Several programmes on the occasion of Guru Purnima were organized in several educational institutions across the region. An event on the occasion was also organized at Nav Jyoti Vidya Mandir in Jagannathpur under Gamharia block. School management committee Secretary, Sanjeev Kumar Srivastava, in his address to the students, spoke of the greatness of Maharishi Ved Vyas who was born on the day of the full moon (Purnima) and later, when he grew up and wrote the Vedas and committed his life to teaching people across the realms of books, he came to be known as Maharshi Ved Vyas and the full moon on the day of his birth became a special event through time and the day was celebrated as Guru Purnima.
The school’s Headmistress, Anamika Srivastava, advised the children to respect their first Gurus, their parents and to respect their teachers. All teachers and students of the school were present during the Guru Purnima celebrations.
A programme, themed on greenery was organized under the banner ‘Ek Pedh Aapke Naam’ was organized in Hardala by Oxygen Man’ Digvijay Bharat with assistance of Pradip Pradhan, Nazir Gagrai and Somay.
