School Principal Parthasarathi Acharya, in his address, observed, “From the moment we are born, our first Guru is Mother, the second is Mother Earth, the third is our father and the fourth Guru is our teacher. Guru’s role in physical and mental development is vital for he designs us to usher in further development of the community and nation.”

The Principal stated that Guru Purnima held a special significance when he said, “Teachers give us knowledge and new direction. They rectify our mistakes and guide us on the correct path. Teachers should never be disrespected and history is replete with examples of established personalities who trusted and respected their teachers and diligently followed the guidance they received.”

Secretary of the school’s managing committee, Ramanath Acharya averred on the occasion, “Maharishi Vyas Dev was born on a full moon day (Purnima) of Shukla Paksh in the month of Ashar. He was given the name of Krishna Dwipayan. But after he composed the Vedas, he came to be known as Ved Vyas. The Maharshi devoted his entire life towards the welfare of people. Similarly, we too should dedicate the knowledge received from our Guru to the cause of humanity and nation building.”

The vote of thanks was offered by Vice Principal Tushar Kant.
