Jamshedpur, Feb 23: East Singhbhum Deputy Commissioner (DC) Vijaya Jadhav visited Gudabanda block on Thursday and reviewed the healthcare facilities available to the local residents. She directed the District Civil Surgeon Dr Jujhar Manjhi to depute doctors at Kalyan Hospital, Banmakri, within 15 days. The said hospital is being run by Vikas Bharati, a local organization.
The DC was informed that two doctors were deputed at the hospital under Ayushman scheme. She said the ANMs at the hospital would be given training on anti-venom and tuberculosis treatment in the district.
The hospital personnel expressed dissatisfaction over their salaries. They said they had not got their salaries for the last four months. They also informed the DC that medical equipments were not available in the hospital. They demanded deep freezer for keeping vaccines. The DC directed the Civil Surgeon to organize regular health camps and fulfill various urgent demands of the hospital personnel.
