Bagbera Water Supply Scheme: MLA Sanjeev Sardar Sets June 15 Deadline

Jamshedpur: Potka MLA Sanjeev Sardar reviewed the progress of the Bagbera Mega Rural Water Supply Scheme during a joint departmental meeting held at the Jamshedpur Block Auditorium on Tuesday and issued directions that the long-awaited project must be functional by June 15 at all costs.

Sardar said that providing clean drinking water to the local residents remains his topmost priority, and no negligence will be tolerated in this regard. During the meeting, Sunil Kumar, Executive Engineer of the Drinking Water and Sanitation Department, assured the MLA that the scheme will be operational on the ground by June 15.

Work Progressing Rapidly: 60% of Households Connected

Departmental officials reported during the meeting that approximately 550 meters of the main pipeline and 800 meters of the rising main pipeline remain incomplete under the current phase of the project. Officials noted that nearly 60% of households have already received water connections, while technicians will connect the remaining houses within the next 15 days.

Coordinated Solutions: MLA Pledges On-Site Inspections if Needed

Sardar said that he would personally visit ground zero to monitor the work and remove operational hurdles, if required. “Providing clean water to the public is my priority, and Bagbera will receive clean drinking water very soon,” Sardar said.
