CII Jharkhand Delegation Meets CM Hemant Soren to Discuss EV Ecosystem and Tribal Entrepreneurship

Jamshedpur: A high-level delegation from the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Jharkhand met with Chief Minister Hemant Soren to discuss key industrial priorities, sustainable mobility, and economic development strategies for the state.

The delegation included Diloo Parikh (Chairman, CII Jharkhand State Council & MD, Vaidehi Motors), D B Sundara Ramam (Vice Chairman, CII Jharkhand State Council & Vice President – Corporate Services, Tata Steel Limited), Dev Jyoti (Regional Director, CII Eastern Region), and Prabhat Kumar (Director & Head – CII Jharkhand).

Capitalizing on Global Investment Momentum

During the meeting, the CII representatives congratulated Chief Minister Soren and the state government on their successful recent visit to the World Economic Forum in Davos. The delegation lauded the strong investment intentions generated during the global summit, appreciating the government’s proactive stance in boosting investor confidence and positioning Jharkhand as an emerging industrial hub.

Strategic Partnerships for the Future

The dialogue centered on four core economic and policy pillars aimed at accelerating the state’s industrial growth:

  • New Industrial Policy: As Jharkhand drafts its upcoming Industrial Policy, CII offered to serve as an active knowledge and industry partner. The delegation expressed readiness to submit sectoral inputs and recommendations to ensure the new framework is forward-looking, competitive, and investor-friendly.

  • Electric Vehicle (EV) Ecosystem: The leaders brainstormed strategies to build a robust EV infrastructure across the state. Discussions focused on drafting enabling policies, accelerating charging infrastructure development, and driving private sector participation to promote sustainable mobility solutions.

  • Tribal Entrepreneurship: Recognizing the state’s unique demographic strengths, the two sides explored collaborative frameworks to empower tribal entrepreneurs. Planned initiatives include targeted skill development, enterprise support systems, capacity-building programs, and enhanced market linkages.

The meeting concluded with a mutual commitment to foster continuous dialogue between the state administration and industry headers to translate these development priorities into ground-level economic growth.
