Jamshedpur, May 3: Our Mother Earth is in danger to sustain life, one needs to protect Mother Earth. The message was given by the Green Ambassadors of KPS Kadma on Tuesday.
A wonderful initiative on Safe environment was taken up by ECO Club, KPS Kadma as they celebrated the Earth Day. It aimed at spreading awareness on environment hazards caused by human activities.
The motive was well carried out to sensitize students on a safe and sustainable environment. The guests who honored the day were – Mr. & Mrs. Vaidyanathan where Mrs. Shanta Vaidyanathan is the Assistant Director of KPS Trust. The other eminent guests were Sharat Chandran, Director of KPS conglomerate and Dr. Rachana Shrikant Nair.
The day was flagged by cultural activities on dance based on 5 elements of earth and a Rap on Reduce, Reuse and Recycle – 3 R’s performed by the green Ambassadors from the High School Level.
There were creative events like Collage competition and Essay Writing competition on Saving the Environment which was an Inter KPS event among the 5 KPS Schools with 25 participants.
The day came to an end with Principal Sharmila Mukherjee’s addressing the gathering and giving a very poignant message to students from Grade VI to XII on the indispensability of a healthy and green environment and distributing prizes for the aforesaid events where the winners in Collage was KPS Kadma & winners in “Lets give a thought” was KPS Burmamines.
The Director, Sharat Chandran applauded the effort of the students and teachers. The vote of thanks was delivered by Headmistress, Junior section K. Jaishree
