INS Trishul arrives in Greece for strategic maritime talks

Indian Naval Ship Trishul docked at Souda Bay in Greece on Sunday, marking a key milestone in its Mediterranean operational deployment.
The Ministry of Defence announced the port call aims to strengthen bilateral maritime ties and build deeper professional linkages between the two navies.
During the visit, Indian crew members will engage in high-level discussions with senior Hellenic Navy functionaries and officials from the Indian Embassy.
Personnel will participate in cross-deck visits, cultural exchanges, and professional training sessions at local NATO facilities to boost operational familiarity.
The crew will also visit the Souda Bay War Cemetery to pay homage to fallen soldiers.
Additionally, INS Trishul will remain open for public visitors throughout its stay in Greece.
This naval visit follows extensive high-level defence talks held between Indian and Greek leaders last month in Athens.
Indian Defence Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh recently met Greek military leadership to expand strategic cooperation and technical interactions.
Both nations reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing joint staff talks, capacity building, and defence industrial collaboration across shared interests.
